Alloy is 6061-T651. This certified material was purchased from Pacific Metals for use on an aerospace project, but was never used. The certs are no longer available.
This workpiece will handily make a finished, machined part within a 5x5x28 envelope, allowing at least .05 "rolled skin" removal from both sides of the the mill finish. Saw cuts are very smooth, flat, and square. Chuck it up in your Kurt DX6 or D810 vise, and run with it! (You might need two vises, one at each end...)
